چکیده

Laser Doppler holography (LDH) is a full-field blood flow imaging technique able to reveal human retinal and choroidal with high temporal resolution. We here report on using LDH in the anterior segment of eye without making changes instrument. Blood bulbar conjunctiva episclera as well corneal neovascularization can be effectively imaged. additionally demonstrate simultaneous holographic posterior segments by simply adapting numerical propagation distance plane interest. used this feature track movements retina pupil Finally, we show that light backscattered for retro-illumination segment. Hence digital opacities caused absorption or diffusion cornea lens.

High-resolution ultrasonic imaging of blood flow in the anterior segment of the eye.

PURPOSE To develop a noninvasive technique to visualize and measure blood flow in the iris and ciliary body. METHODS Echo data from 50-MHz ultrasound scans of the iris and ciliary body of rabbits were digitized using a new "swept scan" modality. The method makes use of spatial oversampling to identify regions with scatterers whose range changes with time. The data allowed construction of high...

Anterior-segment imaging for assessment of glaucoma.

This article summarizes the physics, technology and clinical application of ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) for assessment of the anterior segment in glaucoma. UBM systems use frequencies ranging from approximately 35 to 80 MHz, as compared with typical 10-MHz systems used for general-purpose ophthalmic imaging. OCT systems use low-coherence, near-infrared ...

Holographic laser Doppler imaging of pulsatile blood flow.

We report on wide-field imaging of pulsatile motion induced by blood flow using heterodyne holographic interferometry on the thumb of a healthy volunteer, in real time. Optical Doppler images were measured with green laser light by a frequency-shifted Mach-Zehnder interferometer in off-axis configuration. The recorded optical signal was linked to local instantaneous out-of-plane motion of the s...

Holographic laser Doppler imaging of microvascular blood flow.

We report on local superficial blood flow monitoring in biological tissue from laser Doppler holographic imaging. In time-averaging recording conditions, holography acts as a narrowband bandpass filter, which, combined with a frequency-shifted reference beam, permits frequency-selective imaging in the radio frequency range. These Doppler images are acquired with an off-axis Mach-Zehnder interfe...
